Creative Olomouc

Creative Olomouc explores, educates, discusses, connects, consults, informs and promotes cultural and creative scene in Olomouc and Olomouc region and strives to conceptualize it. The vision of Creative Olomouc is for the cultural and creative sectors to develop, cooperate and become a respected and high-profile area of business, the image of the city and social life in Olomouc.

National Institute of Folk Culture

The National Institute of Folk Culture (NIFC) is a state contributory organisation managed by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and focused on the research, preservation, and dissemination of traditional and folk culture. The institute carries out basic and applied research, publishes results, organises folklore and educational events, and provides an advice service. NIFC has contributed to government documents relating to the maintenance of folk culture and serves as the central coordinator for their implementation. The Association actively engages in international activities in accordance with UNESCO’s 1989 resolution and is the headquarters of the Czech national section of CIOFF, which ensures contact with 90 national sections. Based in Strážnice, the Institute maintains 45 hectares of green space and 99 buildings. Seven of these are protected heritage sites, including the chateau, the chateau park, the Black Gate, and the Open‑Air Museum of the Village of South‑East Moravia. NIFC is a key institution for the preservation and support of traditional folk culture in the Czech Republic.
